Overview

Turn a source prompt into a reviewable 3D asset package

Create a shared asset record, generate a six-view reference composite, correct detected viewports, and continue into saved slice and mesh workflows.

  • 7saved viewport slicesConfirmed per retained composite
  • 16visual referencesMaximum selected for a next generation
  • 16:9native selection formatPresets and exact custom pairs
  • GLBmesh outputDirect download when stored

The workspace keeps shared 3D asset packages in a searchable library. Members create an asset with a name and object or scene source prompt, then open its editor to manage metadata, generation settings, composites, references, and mesh history.

Reference generation produces a native multi-view composite and persists its progress through queued, image generation, storage, region detection, and completion stages. Members can retain earlier composites, select up to 16 uploaded or retained visual references, and keep the exact reference snapshots associated with prior attempts.

The editor separates the composite workflow into focused surfaces: viewport splicing detects and confirms seven saved slices, composite management handles retained files and slice history, and composite mesh management configures FAL mesh generation for selected slices and reviews downloadable GLB outputs.

What's inside

  • Shared library

    Browse every asset package

The library lists assets newest first and joins each record to its derived generation status. Search covers names, prompts, notes, and tags, while status filtering and retained-slice indicators reflect the returned library state.

  • Reference generation

    Track the native composite

The asset editor shows the selected dimensions, effective provider dimensions, activity time, elapsed duration, progress message, and retained composite history. Navigation does not cancel the durable generation, and a stale lock requires an explicit reset before a separate retry.

  • Viewport correction

    Confirm seven usable slices

The dedicated splice route focuses on one retained composite. Members can inspect detected viewport areas, adjust regions or orientation when needed, preview the result, and confirm the seven saved slices without mixing slice management into the main asset page.

  • Mesh generation

    Review FAL mesh jobs

Composite Mesh Management is scoped to one retained composite. It shows eligible confirmed slice groups, records the selected viewport names and output settings for each job, polls active generation, and exposes a direct GLB download when the provider output is stored.

How it works

A repeatable asset workflow

  1. Create

Add the asset name, source prompt, tags, and notes to the shared library.

  2. Generate

Run the saved seven-view reference workflow with visible persisted progress.

  3. Correct

Review detected viewport areas, adjust regions or orientation, and confirm seven slices.

  4. Mesh

Select confirmed slices, configure FAL generation, and review completed GLB outputs.

Who it's for

For teams that prepare 3D assets from visual references

  • 3D modelerI need source prompts, composites, corrected viewports, and mesh jobs connected to the same asset.
  • Creative leadI need to review the generated composite and keep earlier versions visible while a new attempt runs.
  • Asset librarianI need a searchable shared library where generation state and retained slices are shown per asset.

What changes

Replace disconnected handoffs with one asset workflow

BeforeAfter
Collect source prompts in separate notes.Create the prompt, tags, and notes on the shared asset record.
Wait without knowing whether generation is active.Follow queued, image, storage, detection, and completion stages.
Correct crops inside an undifferentiated editor.Open the dedicated splice route for one retained composite.
Lose track of which slices fed a mesh job.Review selected viewport names and job outputs by composite.

Getting started

  1. Connect tools

Open the shared 3D asset workspace and its built-in file storage.

  2. Describe and configure

Enter the object or scene prompt, choose a 16:9 size, and select visual guidance references.

  3. Run and review

Generate the composite, confirm seven slices, and review FAL mesh jobs and GLB outputs.

FAQ

Does creating an asset automatically start generation?

No. A member creates the asset record and separately starts reference generation from its editor.

Can earlier composites remain available after regeneration?

Yes. Prior generated composites and their saved slice history remain visible when a new generation is requested.

Can members use their own visual references?

Yes. Members can upload images through built-in file storage or select retained composites and viewport slices, up to 16 references.

Does the main asset page contain all slice and mesh controls?

No. Viewport splicing, composite management, and composite mesh management are separate focused pages.
